3rd Border Collie National

March 2014

Wow another amazing Nationals for us! Girls road trip this time with my great friends Kristen Hughes and Natalie Woolley, all up we had 5 dogs with us including my two, Derby and Aretha. We started off with Herding, 3 dogs entered. Aretha blew us away, having never done any obstacles and us entering her in Started A Sheep, she came away with 2 passes, one 95 and then AMAZING 98!!!! She went on to get Runner-up High in Trial!!! She was beautiful to watch and I was so proud of her and Kristen, who handled her to perfection thankyou.

Our team (from back left)- Sup Ch Innisman All Said N Done, Ildanach All Due Respect, Ingomar Unchained

Ildanch Girl On Fire and Ulara All That Jazz

Conformation next which started with our youngest two, Django and Cinna. Both showed beautifully and did us proud! Aretha showed in the Intermediate class, the biggest class at the Nationals, and I was very happy with how she worked for me.

Last class for us was the Veteran Dog Class for Derby. I was very nervous going in for this one but as always Derby proved to me what an awesome dog he is, oh and people clapped which he LOVES. It was an amazing class with 2 past BC Nationals BIS winners and Best in Show winning dogs. To finish off his Nationals career Derby won the class, with many tears shed by me! He made me a very proud mum and breeder. What an achievement to hold being the only dog shown at all 3 Nationals to win his class at each one!!

A very happy Nationals!
